Reseller Management of .dk Domains

Do you have a .dk domain that is currently registered directly with Punktum dk? If so, there’s something you need to take care of.
We’ll explain what dealer management is, what’s changing, and what specific steps you need to take.
What is dealer management?
Reseller management of .dk domains means that Punktum dk is no longer responsible for the day-to-day administration of your domain. Instead, an authorized reseller—such as Silicon Valby—takes over all communication and administration on your behalf.
This is the model that most other countries already use, and now Punktum dk is introducing the same standard for .dk.
You will keep your domain name, and your website and email will continue to function as usual.
What will change starting July 1, 2026?
Effective July 1, 2026, new rules will apply to .dk domains at Punktum dk:
- New .dk domains can only be registered through a registrar
- .dk domains can only be renewed for one year at a time
- Domains that have been transferred to a registrar cannot be moved back to Punktum dk
If you already have a .dk domain registered directly with Punktum dk, you have until June 30, 2028, to switch registrars.
We recommend that you do this well in advance—and preferably right away.
